The Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II is a 2.0 speaker system designed for desktop audio applications. Each satellite utilizes a mid-range-tweeter-mid-range (MTM) driver arrangement, positioning a silk dome tweeter between two woven glass fibre cone drivers to provide a balanced sound stage. This configuration aims to produce an accurate and detailed sound signature, making the system suitable for music playback, light gaming, and general media consumption on a personal computer.

This system incorporates BasXPort technology, an acoustically engineered port in each speaker that enhances lower frequency reproduction without a separate subwoofer. For direct user control, the front panel of the right speaker provides accessible dials to adjust bass, treble, and volume levels. The system connects to audio sources via a standard 3.5 mm jack and includes a front-facing auxiliary input and a headphone output for added convenience.
