The Noctua NF-A8 FLX is an 80mm cooling fan designed for integration into compact computing environments, such as HTPC and small form factor chassis. Its standardized dimensions of 80mm x 25mm ensure broad compatibility with existing 80mm mounting points in cases or specialized heatsinks. This model is engineered to provide efficient airflow while maintaining low operational noise output, making it suitable for noise-sensitive applications.

Cooling performance includes a maximum rotational speed of 2000 RPM, delivering an airflow rate of 50.4 m³/h and a static pressure of 1.96 mmH₂O. The fan utilizes proprietary SSO2 bearing technology, which incorporates a self-stabilizing oil-pressure system to ensure long-term reliability, rated at 150,000 hours MTTF. Connectivity is handled via a standard 3-pin connector, and the fan draws 0.07A when operating at 12V.

The NF-A8 FLX includes Low-Noise Adapters (LNA), enabling the user to select predefined speed limits below the maximum performance level. This adaptability allows systems builders to reduce the noise floor from 16.1 dB to 7.9 dB depending on the configuration and speed setting utilized.
